TURKEY BINGO

      Mark your calendars for our 1st edition of Turkey Bingo to be held at our regular meeting on Nov. 21st.  Details are still being worked out.  However, so far, it has been determined that fat quarters will make up a large part of the prizes offered.  As a result, we ask that you donate as many fat quarters as your budget allows. Remember, the more fat quarters available, the more chances you have of winning and getting a larger amount.  Starting in May, a box will be available at the Ways and Means table to deposit your donations.  Take advantage of JoAnn Fabrics when they offer fat quarters for 99 cents.

SPECIAL EVENTS

April:  Thanks to everyone who participated in the April “Blue Square Exchange.”  There was a whole lot of trading going on!
May:   Don’t forget to bring some recipes to Candi.  Help make a new cookbook possible.
June:  I hope some of you are already working on the June “Song Title Challenge”.  Make a quilted piece representing the title of any song.

                                    My Country ‘Tis of Thee?

              There is no size limit for this challenge.  Your entry can be as large as a quilt or as small as you wish.
              Use your imagination and have fun with it!  Prizes will be awarded.

CALLING ALL EARLENE FOWLER FANS

      The 13th book in the Benni Harper mystery series (and Earlene”s 14th novel) called “Tumbling Blocks” is set to hit book stores on May 1st. 
      A 14th book entitled “State Fair is due to be released in 2010.
      Last December she was presented with a custom made quilt commemorating the 14 titles of her Benni Harper mysteries by the staff and patrons of Bear’s Quilt Shop.
