QUILTS OF VALOR

      Attached please find our requests for people to make a friendship star block for us and/or attend our next Make a Difference Day on March 15 in Lakewood/Long Beach.  We also got a minute and a half show on Time Warner.  It is on video on demand:  www.twcsocalnews.com.  On the right is a list of videos-Quilts of Valor, is near the end of page 5.

      I had my knee replacement surgery on Friday, 2/1, and came home on Monday.  PT was going well, and I could almost sit in normal position ….until I got the 33 staples out on the 13th.  I proceeded to black out, then went to ER for an EKG.  That’s when they found the blood clot so I stayed there until Saturday PM.  Now we are dealing with the swelling that is causing the stitches to burst, so it is immobilized in a brace from my thigh to my calf.  We’ll see what they decide at the Dr. tomorrow!
