A challenge has been issued to all guild members this year.  Pillowcases made of age and gender appropriate fabric are needed for our male and female Vets and needy children.  Many Vets are at an age where family members are gone and funds limited, and they’re grateful to be remembered.  Many children are in a position where a pillowcase may be the only thing they own.  Your generous contributions will go a long way to help ease these lives.

Please take the time to make as many pillowcases as your time and funds allow.  Bring your completed pillowcases to guild meetings in a bag with your name and number of cases inside the bag from now until our July workday meeting.  Anita Marcus will keep a tally of donors and a prize will be awarded at the July meeting to the person or group who submits the most pillowcases.

Congratulations to the Loud and Proud winners of last month’s raffle.  Edna Olsen won the great crazy quilt donated by Lyn Yeomans.  Clydene McMann won the tote bag made and donated by Jeannette Krebsbach, and Jeanette won the Easter table mat made and donated by Rose Ann Arnold.

Your generous donations help make Ways and Means a success.  Many of us buy books, patterns and dare I say fabric that sooner or later we say …what the heck was I thinking?  A member told me they appreciated my “recycling” of patterns and books.  Remember, while many of us donate old or unwanted items, there’s always someone that never saw them before or who would love to have them.  Thanks to the rain, some members were able to take advantage of some great bargains from my “rainy day sale.”  Be sure to check out Ways and Means every month.  You never know how crazy I may get.
