This month brings us the frivolity of St. Patrick’s Day, the sacredness of Easter and the madness of – well – March Madness. How about bringing your Irish/green quilts, your springtime/Easter quilts or your sports related quilts for Sew and Share this month? And come prepared for a great lecture with Zena Thorpe and for those who signed up early – a great appliqué workshop by a true master of the art.
We’re in month two of our silver anniversary festivities. February was such fun with our first “Silver A Giveaway”. Lyn Yeomans was the winner of the promised 25 somethings. In her case she took home 25 skeins of DMC embroidery floss. Pat Yee’s table was the first host table for our guests and for doing so, each one at her table received a purse-size tube of udder cream. Watch for those bright pink guest name tags and welcome someone to our guild. Won’t you consider with your table-mates being a host table in one of the upcoming months?
As we head toward our fall quilt show, please be diligent in selling your opportunity quilt tickets, working on a donation for the show’s silent auction or scheduling a time to take the opportunity quilt to a surrounding guild or quilt show. There is so much to do to make our show a success and many hands make light work.
And speaking of quilt shows, there are lots of shows in the area in March and April, so support our neighboring guilds and local vendors by attending a how or two. Take a friend and make a day of it!

P.S. I’m from Buffalo, New York and more than once was snowed in for several days at a time. This will be important at some point in the coming year, as will the information contained in all my upcoming postscripts.
