PROGRAMS
‘Twas the night before Christmas when all
through the Land
Not a quilter was sleeping, all quilt rooms
were manned;
The quilt blocks were hung on the design
wall with care,
In hopes that inspiration soon would be
theirs;
The fabrics were all over the floors in a
heap,
While threads and bright ribbons floated
knee-deep!
Sashings and borders, bindings and batt
Quilt books and patterns all littered the mat;
When what to their quilt vision should then
appear?
A completed quilt!! It all became clear;
Now, piecing and appliqué could quickly be
done.
The layering, pinning and quilting, such
FUN!
They spoke not a word, but went straight to
their sewing,
The quilts were all finished almost without
knowing!
But before each quilter had turned out the
light,
It was said, ‘Thank Goodness for quilting,
I’m done for this night!’

A Message From Our President
Dear Friends,
Everyone got in the holiday spirit with our November Turkey Bingo. It was a big success with lots of winners and $$$ for our Guild. Thanks to Gail, to those who brought fat quarters and to those who stayed and played!
It’s easy to get caught up in this wonderful but hectic season, so be sure to take time for yourself and those you love, and remember those who are absent from home. We will have some new members at our Christmas party for the first time. Make them glad they joined our Guild. Mingle, mingle, mingle.
As 2007 comes to a close, think of all the fun, friends and good deeds that are a part of our Guild and all the ways we can each make a difference in the lives of others.
Happy Holidays to all.
For the President,
Paula A. Slater

WAYS AND MEANS
Did we have fun or what? I heard a lot of positive comments on our first Turkey Bingo fundraiser so I hope you all had a great time. Too bad for all those turkeys that couldn’t make it. A big Loud and Proud congratulations to Shirley Barnett and Barbara Shoenberg, who were the big full card bingo winners who each won 50 fat quarters and a tote bag. I’m constantly amazed by the generosity of our members. Thanks to all of you who participated, we were able to raise over $500 and had enough fat quarters to give out some nice prizes. $100 was taken from the income to allow 5 lucky people to win $20 each as door prizes. Thank you all again. I hope you all have a great holiday season.
Merry Christmas -- Happy Chanukah

I hear the sounds of Christmas carols and the jingle bells of old Santa ready to come down our chimney to bring us gifts and good cheer. Let us spread our love with family and friends and wish all a “Merry Christmas”! Hang up your mistletoe and let the holidays begin and celebrate.
Mildred Moore would like to express her thanks to the Guild for sending her birthday cards. She received many for her “98” celebration.
Virginia Krumholz recently had a heart attack and is now in the hospital recovering.
Merry Christmas to all. Nellie Emmi
